His relentless pursuit of excellence did not go unnoticed, and in 2019, at the age of 34, Captain Maksym was rightfully promoted to the esteemed position of Captain.

A True Leader and Professional:

Let us hear from the people who have worked closely with Capt Fedorchenko – now in the words of Martin Kruus, the Head of SHEQ department of Tschudi Ship Management AS:

“My personal introduction to Captain Maksym occurred during my visit to his vessel for the ISM/ISPS/MLC internal audit, and I was immediately struck by the impressive atmosphere he had cultivated. Even during his second run as Captain, he exhibited a mastery of the "disappearing arts" – a blend of old-school maritime professionalism, motivational leadership, and team-building prowess. It was evident that he had successfully instilled a sense of family amongst his crew.”

Witnessing Excellence Onboard:

Martin continues: “Captain Maksym's vessel is a testament to his leadership style. A tight ship, always shipshape, with a crew uniformly dressed, coordinated, and, most importantly, smiling. The onboard atmosphere exuded professionalism and camaraderie, creating an environment where everyone felt like part of a closely-knit family.”

A Consistent Record of Success:

Those fortunate enough to visit Captain Maksym's vessel can attest to the efficiency and effectiveness of his leadership. The crew not only gets the job done with precision, but they also find time to enjoy shared activities, further solidifying the sense of unity and teamwork.

In celebrating Captain Maksym, we recognize not only his individual achievements but also the positive impact he has had on the entire Tschudi Ship Management community. Let us extend our sincerest appreciation for his dedication, leadership, and the inspiring work culture he has cultivated, reflecting his own values that coincidentally also reflect our company values.

If you look at the photos of Capt Maksym – note how rarely he is seen by himself. That speaks volumes.
